As part of TRACSCON 2026, a series of hands-on, skill-based workshops will be conducted on 7th May 2026, focusing on core trauma and acute care surgery competencies. These workshops are designed to provide practical exposure, step-by-step guidance, and real-world decision-making skills for surgeons and postgraduate trainees. Each workshop is conducted in small groups with faculty–participant interaction, ensuring optimal learning and skill acquisition.

🔹 Workshop A: Vascular Anastomosis

Focus:

Principles of vascular control in trauma
End-to-end and end-to-side anastomosis
Use of temporary vascular shunts

Hands-on Model: Simulation / tissue models

🔹 Workshop B: Bowel Anastomosis

Focus:

Decision-making in emergency bowel surgery
Hand-sewn anastomosis
Anastomosis in contaminated fields

Hands-on Model: Tissue-based models

🔹 Workshop C: Emergency Trauma Skills

Focus:

Emergency airway techniques
Tube thoracostomy & chest trauma skills

Hands-on Model: Skill stations & simulation

🔹 Workshop D: POCUS in Trauma & Acute Care Surgery

Focus:

FAST & E-FAST protocols
IVC & volume assessment
POCUS applications beyond FAST in acute care surgery

Hands-on Model: Live ultrasound scanning & simulation

Limited seats (maximum 20 participants per workshop)
Workshops will run in different time slots
Participants may register for more than one workshop
Workshop registration is separate from conference registration
Certificates will be issued for workshop participation (See <attachments> above for file contents.)
